My favorite things: Holiday gift guide
Need a little help with your holiday shopping this year? Or are you looking for something special to treat yourself? If you need a few ideas for someone special (even if that someone is you!), I put together a new holiday gift guide to help you with your shopping. This is a mix of must-haves that are on my own Christmas wish list this year, plus some of my favorite things that I would totally give as gifts. So grab your coziest blanket, a glass of wine, and light a candle...and let's get that Christmas shopping done!
One of my absolute favorite gifts I received earlier this year is the grocery market bag from Apolis. Besides being able to 100% customize the message on the bag - anything from your hometown, a favorite saying or bible verse, the name of your business (shout out to my other #girlbosses out there!), it supports an incredibly worthy cause. Every woman who handcrafts one of these gorgeous, basically indestructible bags receives Fair Trade Wages, annual profit dividends, and a retirement fund. How's that for giving back this holiday season?
Next on my list is one of the yummiest candles you will ever find - White Barn Cinnamon Spiced Vanilla! I looove vanilla (ask my husband, it's my all-time favorite scent...and ice cream flavor), and with the cinnamon spice added in, it makes your home smell like a delicious holiday bakery. I will definitely be scooping up more of these this season:
And this, I can't believe I found during a Pinterest scroll...how cool is this sign? This rustic sign from Walls of Wisdom is completely customizable too, and they have a ton of different aged farmhouse-inspired looks to choose from. Maybe it's me, but I think it would be the coolest thing to have this unique, vintage looking sign in my house. And that cow though - what a focal point and conversation piece!
This monogrammable Mckenna Jewelry Box from Pottery Barn has been on my wish list for years. I am in LOVE with the gorgeous bonded leather, the chrome hardware, and the sweet little lock and key. I've had my eye on the blush or gray colors, but all of the shades are beautiful (especially that Tiffany blue!). My jewels would look even more precious (and it would make getting ready in the morning feel extra special) by selecting my jewelry from this chic little treasure chest:
Because I'm always learning, always trying to improve, always open to coaching and advice from other entrepreneurs and business owners who have blazed their own trails before me, you'll usually find me listening to a podcast while driving in the car or reading business-minded book before bed. And I'm seriously crossing my fingers that Santa brings me this one this year: The Making of a Well-Designed Business by Luann Nigara. I found Luann's podcast on an Instagram feed, and have picked up so many strategies and tips on how to not only take my business to the next level, but to know my value as a creative and design professional, and how to make moves with confidence. Whether you're a female entrepreneur, a sales professional, or woman in business, I bet this book will inspire you...and I can't wait to curl up with this one myself!
Looking for a gift for someone who loves to entertain? This wood and marble cheese board from Mark & Graham is a show-stopping piece to add to any hostess' collection. The contrast of the rich acacia wood with the cool marble is still neutral enough to coordinate with any decor palette, and the monogram gives an extra element of personalization (do you see a theme here? I'm all about the monogram these days!):
I came across these one of a kind specialty curated gift boxes from Crate + Willow. Holiday shopping couldn't be easier! Their keepsake artisan boxes are filled with different themed items, from candles to plants, to sweet treats and wine glasses or coffee mugs. Here's one of their home sweet home boxes with this rustic inspired railroad striped tea towel, a mercury glass candle, and a beautiful air plant. They also have a holiday special edition boxes with a gold dipped champagne glass, an engraved frame holiday ornament, and a delicious scented candle coming soon. Simply choose your themed box, and your gift is good to go!
I hope you've found something special for the holidays to help share the cheer this season. Happy shopping!
