Most people cannot look at a fabric swatch and picture how it will feel in a finished room—and honestly, why should they? That is part of our job! Bridging that gap is one of the most meaningful parts of being a designer.

When we present a design to a client, it likely looks like this—3D renderings, physical material and finish samples, and design boards, all brought together so they can see and feel the direction before anything is ordered or installed. There are no surprises at the end.

One of the first questions I ask every new client is whether they have heirloom pieces that will be incorporated in the space—because those pieces often become the foundation of the entire design.

Our clients had a wood hutch that had been in their family for generations, originally gifted as a wedding present to their great-great-grandparents. Designing a space that honored this piece was both a privilege and a priority. We selected traditional-inspired furniture with subtle coastal influence and layered in complementary wood tones throughout to ensure this heirloom was celebrated as the focal point it deserves to be.

When a piece carries that kind of history, every design decision is made in service of it.

"Grown up" doesn't mean boring. Our Westlake clients came to us wanting their living room to feel classic and elevated—a space designed for entertaining, not an afterthought.

To accomplish this, we went with a soft, neutral palette of ivory, blue, and gray with lighter wood tones throughout. Every fabric selected was a performance material that holds up to real life without looking like it was chosen for durability.

These beloved repeat clients (project #5!) came to us with a kitchen, laundry room, and almost entire first floor that wasn't working for their growing family. From day one, we handled both the remodel and furnishings to create a cohesive, functional first floor that finally fits their lifestyle.

We worked closely with our contractor and cabinetry vendor to enhance functionality and future resale value. For our repeat clients’ townhome in Cleveland’s Edgewater neighborhood, we designed this outdoor space to feel just as intentional and inviting as the interior—an extension of their home and the perfect setting for entertaining all season long. Now, we’re just waiting on patio weather to cooperate. Spring can’t come soon enough!

Our Westlake client wanted her bedroom to actually feel like a retreat—a place to wind down with a book, start her morning with yoga, and exhale at the end of a long day. What she had before didn’t feel like the retreat she desired (swipe to see the before photo).

We designed the entire space around her real routine and the way she wanted to feel in it. A palette of soft whites and light blues creates that calm, coastal atmosphere she was after, while natural textures like distressed wood and marble add warmth and depth (without making the room feel heavy or overdone). We were intentional about every detail of the layout as well, down to selecting a round area rug in just the right size to fit a yoga mat.
