Color pops: How to decorate for spring

With everything going on in the world these days, I'm not sure about you, but I'm so relieved to finally be welcoming spring! There's something about blue skies, warmer weather, and seeing fresh blooms popping up that instantly makes me happy...and hopeful for the next season to come.

And since I put up all of my spring and Easter decor, my home makes me smile even more. Although it doesn't feel like a typical spring yet (without being able to go to church during Lent, enjoy a local fish fry, or make plans for a big family celebration like last year - how much we take for granted!), having these sweet little decor pieces around are a much needed reminder of just how special this season is, and that we can still celebrate Him and the start of this new life and next chapter.

So here are my go-to spring decor tips. Pick a few (or all!) and add some happy to your home:

Switch out your wreaths: Adding a wreath with candy-colored blooms like tulips, peonies, or even classic greenery like boxwood will make your home feel fresh. Besides decorating your front and back doors, wreaths can be added to windows and walls too. (Psst: Want to see how I made this custom wreath? Check out the DIY here!)

Add a banner or garland: I found this #blessed banner on Etsy for our daughter's christening celebration, and loved it so much I've kept it up ever since. And these cute little carrots add some fun and whimsy to our dining room:

Mix in pops of color or pastels: From a bowl of Easter eggs to a robin's egg blue table cloth with pastel buffalo check napkins, little pops of color will brighten your home (and your mood!):

Layer in natural, rustic inspired pieces: A vintage looking watering can or textiles like seagrass officially declare that winter is over!

Flowers, flowers, and more flowers: Adding fresh (or faux) colorful bouquets to your dining table centerpiece, coffee table, or night stand not only make your home feel extra special and luxe, but they also smell a-mazing:

And for some extra cheer and fun...add bunnies! I decorate our dining table and fireplace hearth with a few of these cute little accents for an adorable effect. How can these not make you smile?

Wishing you a cheerful, colorful, cozy home to enjoy this fresh new spring season,
